manchester portrait photography

Without blowing my own trumpet I thought I would post this picture to show that you do not need to spend £5000 on gear to get some good pictures. This was taken at a wedding that I covered, on a Pentax LX with a 50mm f1.4 and some fuji pro 400H. I think the total outlay for it used from jessops was less than £200. I used it extensively for about two years, sold it for more than I paid for it and bought myself a Leica R6. Now that is another whole story! Is it better than the LX? questionable but I have to say that the glass is incredible. The following shot was taken on that with the 50mmm summicron.

I am extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a nice blog like this one these days.. 🙂
Hi Lucaz, thanks for the comment. The website and blog both run on wordpress with a custom theme designed by icepick solutions. It does not use any flash so works on ipads and iphones too. Their link is at the bottom of the page if you want to get in touch.
